“The passion that Regatta fans have for events along Boathouse Row extends far beyond race weekends. It’s a core part of what makes Philadelphia an amazing city. CrowdJoy provides this loyal community of hosts, fans, and brands the ideal way to continue their relationship throughout the year.” – Jeff Josephson, CrowdJoy COO

A Storied History with Eyes Towards the Future
Founded in 1858 as the nation’s first amateur sporting organization, the Schuylkill Navy is set to modernize the Boathouse Row regatta experience through the partnership. Besides the flagship Stotesbury Cup Regatta, the organization hosts four additional events as a part of its racing series, including the Schuylkill Navy Run and the Schuylkill Navy, Independence Day, and Philadelphia Youth Regattas. The Schuylkill Navy recognizes that attendees of large outdoor events have come to expect a compelling mobile experience, and its events are no different as the organization enters its 159th year.

Attendees of the Stotesbury Cup Regatta can expect a unique and personalized mobile experience that makes navigating the venue easier than ever with CrowdJoy’s proprietary LiveCompass technology, which will guide them to the places that matter including the Athletes and Stotesbury Villages, their team trailer and tents, and various places along the race course. In addition to the intuitive navigation and access to real-time event information, the app will provide fans with the chance to navigate to locations around the venue and capture digital rewards redeemable for real-life prizes.

“We are excited to partner with CrowdJoy to bring a new level of experience and navigational ease to our regatta spectators and participants. Our vendors and sponsors will also benefit from the options available to their onsite businesses.” – Paul Horvat, Schuylkill Navy Commodore
