Fan Tents at #Stotes

Fan Tents at Stotes are a great part of the fun and excitement of Regatta Weekend.

ALL Parent/Spectator/Fan tents (Rented or Not) must have a Tent Permit.

Tent Rentals

Tents are available for rent exclusively through our Stotesbury Cup Regatta preferred tent provider (Tents for Rent) until mid-April (Check Regatta Central for deadline). We recommend ordering as soon as possible after Tent Registration opens since supply is limited. We cannot promise availability.

The links for these are below; and, set-up, installation, permits (City and Regatta), safety equipment, etc. are all included.

Tent Location

You will be notified of your teams' preliminary location the Monday before the Regatta; but, some adjustments may be unavoidable as the site is constructed.

Your final tent location will be available on Thursday morning, following the process shared with the Lead Parent indicated on the registration form.

Tent Numbering

Rented Tents "begin" with high-numbered spaces closest to the Gillin Boat Club/City Dock launching area and DECREASE to Space #1 which is located near the upriver end of the Stotesbury Village (ie, Finish Line/Grandstand Parking Lot). In other words, the space numbers DECREASE as one travels downriver.

The Schuylkill Navy does not hold a permit for the Park use until 12 pm on Thursday. As such, any tents or staked areas erected before this time (without the supervision of our Regatta Team) will run the risk of removal by City/Park officials.

Non-rented spectator tents erected downriver from Columbia Bridge will be removed.

Schuylkill Navy Host Schools

The Schuylkill Navy "Host Schools" and other Partner Programs – who substantially comprise our volunteer corps – are permitted within "The Island Village." Schools in this area must respectfully cooperate and work with our Stotes Team who will place teams into this area. The configuration for these programs may look differently than what is used during the regular PSRA scholastic season.

If you have not yet been in touch re this year's Service Duties, please do so.

Bring Your Own Tent

A limited amount of ground space is available for those teams who (a) are not Schuylkill Navy Host Schools; and, (b) do not wish to rent a Team Tent.

These spaces (a) are limited in size; (b) still carry a Tent Permit Fee; and, (c) are only available in limited areas. Specifically, these tents will be located (a) immediately adjacent to the upriver "City Dock" (near Gillin/St. Joe's), space allowing; and, (b) in the "back row" behind other tents (closest to Kelly Drive) at limited spots along the Race Course.

Tents in a variety of sizes are available for rental for your crew and fans. The rental fee includes set-up, installation, mandatory safety equipment (as size requires), Permits (City of Phila and Regatta), etc. Straw (Hay), 8' Banquet Tables, and Chairs are NOT included but may be purchased separately. Tents include side panels. Because of riverbank topography, some tents may need to be created via spacers between larger tents; but, whenever possible, each tent will stand alone.
